THE WORK

Where color correction was an essential part of the post-production chain, and could only be done at the BIG LABS, color grading today is more of a individualistic and artistic interpretation. The role of a good colorist has evolved well beyond that of technically correcting the initial image problems, or ensuring that an editors cut is made invisible… it’s more about shaping a visual narrative… about isolating… and focusing, it's about recomposing… re-framing, it’s in effect manipulating all the visual elements on screen and directing a viewers eye where a director wants it to be. It’s about visual story telling enhancement and creating stylistic looks to serve that creative mission.
